Security of Your Exhibits

Prior to attending an exhibit, make sure your insurance cover includes the event you are attending.

Prior to attending, it is useful to set up your display to make sure it ‘fits’ and that you have everything required and its in good working order. Then pack your display in easy to handle containers. There are two reasons • Ensure that the loads are not heavy as they may need to be carted a distance once at the venue site • Use a fold up trolley or sack truck system so the containers can easily be stacked and you only make necessary trips from your vehicle to your site. Less time carting means more time at the site and less potential for theft of items.

Consider

• Lockable storage area at the stand for personal items

• Do not leave small portable items unattended ie laptops, handbags

• When moving in or out make sure someone is always present at the stand

• Ensure commercially sensitive material such as customer details, price lists etc are not left in visual places

• Report any thefts to the event security immediately.
